Summer Events on Georgian Bay
The kids have been out of school for a few weeks and summer is in full swing. Before you know it, the Back to School shopping will begin, so don’t waste any time. There are plenty of events happening just a short distance away from the Barrie area. Check out some fun events happening in Midland, Penetanguishene, Tiny & Tay. This summer is packed with festivals, music and celebrations for everyone!
The weekend of July 21-23, 2017 is a great time to take that road trip with the family and discover all the events happening on Georgian Bay. Why not spend a day checking out The Ontario 150 tour Feast Fest! This is an event you don’t want to miss. Located at the Midland Harbourfront, this Festival will have fireworks, food, games, craft vendors and the World famous 30,000-pound rubber duck.
Just a hop, skip and a jump down the road is the Penetanguishene Summerama Cupcake Festival. You won’t want to miss this! Yummy, delicious cupcakes will be waiting for you!
For all the country music lover’s the Bayside Market & Music with “Wendy Whelan & The Rubber Band” hits the Amphitheatre at Parc Rotary Champlain Wendat Park stage Friday, July 21 at 6:00 pm. If that isn’t enough to keep your weekend packed with fun the 2nd Annual Downtown Midland Road Basketball game is happening on July 22, 2017, from 2:00 pm- 3:00 pm.
Still need more fun and excitement? On July 29th Feast Food & Drink will tantalize your taste buds with a celebration of the French! Once your tummy is full take a ride down to Penetanguishene where you can enjoy the soothing sounds of the Gordon Lightfoot Tribute Band.
A great way to kick August off is to celebrate Port McNicoll’s 100th Anniversary during the August 4th weekend. With live entertainment, a parade and beautiful fireworks it is sure to be a tremendous time for all.
